Education is one of the most powerful tools for breaking the cycle of poverty. Yet for many children, school is a dream that is cut short by poverty, instability, or lack of support.
Hands for Development Foundation ensures that vulnerable children and young people are able to enroll in school, stay in school, and succeed in school.
We provide:

Training & Advocacy

Many vulnerable communities suffer not only from poverty, but also from injustice, exclusion, and lack of information. We work to change this by strengthening people’s knowledge, confidence, and collective voice.
Through civic education, leadership training, and community organising, we help people:
- Understand their human and legal rights
- Speak up against injustice and abuse
- Organize and advocate for better services and policies

Economic Empowerment
“What if no family had to choose between food and school fees?”
We believe that poverty can be overcome when people have access to skills, opportunities, and fair markets. Economic empowerment is central to building dignity, stability, and long-term resilience.
We support households and communities through:

- Savings and community finance groups
- Access to markets and financial services
These interventions help families increase their income, build assets, and plan for the future. As income grows, nutrition improves, children stay in school, and families gain greater security and independence.
